Ruddicks Chartered Accountants is excited to announce that our founding partner Bob Ruddick recently received the University of Tasmania Distinguished Business Leader Award. The new Dean of the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, Professor Chris Earley presented Bob with the award at a breakfast function in Launceston this month which reflects Bob's significant contributions to business and to the University, which include:

- Director of the Australian Maritime College since its amalgamation with UTAS in 2008;

- Member of University Council from 2001 to 2008;

- State Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2000 and 2001.

Bob holds a number of corporate roles as either Chairman or Director of various enterprises and his firm, Ruddicks, employs 25 people who, in the main, have received their qualifications from the School of Business and Economics at the University of Tasmania.
