2022 Hall of Fame Award Winner - Bob Ruddick

Ruddicks are absolutely delighted to advise that at the 2022 Launceston Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, Bob Ruddick was this year's inductee into the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.

This prestigious honour has been awarded to some of Launceston’s top business people over the years.

The award represents rightful recognition for the decades Bob has spent giving back to the Launceston business and greater communities, the University of Tasmania and Australian Maritime College.

Chamber Executive Officer Will Cassidy said “Bob is well known and respected throughout Launceston's business community. Bob has contributed significantly to a number of industries in Launceston and across the state as a consultant, director or mentor. Bob is a prime example of a highly respected, successful business person who gives back to the business community in a number of ways."

One of Bob's greatest contributions has been to the University of Tasmania which began with a seat on the University Council for 5 years, then board of the Australian Maritime College and AMC Search for 8 years, various advisory boards for the University, and currently the advisory board to the College of Business and Economics, shaping course content and influencing the skills and capabilities that business students leave University with.

Bob is also a board member of the Great Regional City Challenge (GRCC). The GRCC received the Building Exceptional Communities Award as well as the top prize for the night – Business of the Year.

The Partners and staff at Ruddicks heartily congratulate Bob on his momentous achievement.
